Located in San Diego, California, Balboa Tennis Club was founded by a small group of friends and tennis enthusiasts in 1922 – making it one of the oldest tennis clubs in the United States. They started with six tennis courts and later became a public, nonprofit organization in 1939.
Since then, Balboa Tennis Club has won many awards including – America’s Best Public Tennis Facility by the USTA in 1989, Club of the Year by the San Diego District Tennis Association in 2000, and Outstanding Tennis Facility by the USTA in 2003.
After almost 100 years of operation, Balboa Tennis Club’s main goal remains the same – to help anyone who wants to enjoy tennis do so through world-class coaching and a smooth experience. That’s why in May 2021, they appointed HJK Ventures to run the instructional programs at Balboa Tennis Club.
To this day, HJK Ventures provides premier, professional classes, lessons, and clinics to players of all ages, levels, and economic backgrounds at Balboa Tennis Club – making tennis more accessible to the public.
Because HJK Ventures operates out of not only the oldest, but also one of the largest clubs in southern California, they quickly realized the need for a club management system.
